Account & Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your Family Ledger account and all data associated with it at any time. Choose either method below.

Option 1 — In the App

Open Family Ledger and sign in.
Go to Settings → Account.
Tap Delete Account.
Confirm the action when prompted.

Your account and all data are deleted immediately from our active systems.

Option 2 — Email Request

If you can't access the App, email us from the address associated with your account:

Subject: "Account Deletion Request"

We will verify your identity and process the request within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Your account profile (name, email, photo)
All expense, income, and budget records
Receipt photos and attached media
Bill/rent reminder schedules
Push notification device tokens
Any AI assistant conversation history stored in the App

What may be retained

Anonymous, aggregated analytics data that cannot be linked back to you, and records we are legally required to retain, may be kept for a limited period after account deletion. Backups you manually saved to your own Google Drive are not affected — you can delete those directly from your Drive.
